PROJECT OVERVIEW
A portable AI-enabled ultrasound system is being developed to help health workers monitor and identify high-risk pregnancies in low-resource settings by using an AI engine in combination with advanced image processing. Our client is developing a market-ready Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) product, using an off-the-shelf ultrasound probe connected to a user-supplied tablet.
Lacking expertise in Medtech product development, our client turned to Syncro Medical to advance the prototype application they had developed, centered around their proprietary AI engine, into a commercial product.
In order to do so, Syncro Medical assessed the architecture & design, workflows, and implementation of the existing prototype and identified key areas within the software that our team could significantly improve. We also added new features to support the commercial version. Our work included:
